Are there methods for choosing which images to annotate to get good network performance? We used image clustering in the latent space of a trained autoencoder to select candidate images and test this hypothesis.

We were able to use a novel, low-cost, slide-free microscopic imaging method (MUSE) to image peripheral nerve tissues. Methods for sample preparation and imaging in 2D and 3D are discussed.
